In accordance with the Ministry of Health and our City of Vancouver license, Pacifica is a non-smoking facility.
For your health and wellbeing, we recommend you look at
your smoking habit in relation to your recovery process. As smoking is also an
addiction and serves a similar purpose as other drugs (such as managing
emotions, coping with stress, having a sense of belonging, etc.), not
smoking can a be a key piece of your recovery plan and developing more
supportive and healthy coping skills.
While Pacifica cannot offer nicotine replacement therapy, the BC government does. Call 811 for more information. The use of the nicotine patch, gum and lozenges are acceptable. Please speak to our doctor for more information. There are workshops and other support available while in treatment. Speak to your counsellor for more resources and support.
Cigars, cigarillos, chewing tobacco or pipes and e-cigarettes are NOT allowed. With permission, smudges may be done in the courtyard.
